Paul Foster and Jill Allcock are originally from Manchester in England, both are passionate about Africa its wildlife and its people and have travelled extensively throughout Africa.

In 2009 they purchased a property in Phalaborwa on the edge of the magnificent Kruger Park in South Africa and now provide bed & breakfast accommodation with wildlife photography, painting and sculpting courses and guided tours through Kruger Park and Limpopo province.

Paul is a self-taught artist, sculptor and photographer, his illustrations have been published in several South African publications and he is a level 1 Safari Field Guide.

While staying with us for bed and breakfast you can also enjoy tuition in wildlife painting, sculpting or photography and create your own special memory of South Africa and its wildlife. Most courses are approx 7 hours at a cost of R350 per person.

Situated in Phalaborwa in Limpopo province in the North East of South Africa Tandala Lodge is situated approx 3 minutes drive from the magnificent Kruger National Park home of the “Big Five” and a variety of other species birds, mammals, reptiles and insects.

Phalaborwa is in easy reach of several tourist attractions including Kruger Park, the beautiful Blyde River Canyon, River, driven and walking safaris, walking encounters with Lions and Cheetahs, animal rehabilitation and conservation centres, reptile parks and cultural trails.

We can also organise escorted trips through the Kruger National  road driving, camping in the bush, river safaris, fishing  and bird watching trips to suit your own itinerary.
